When snow begins to fall on the Surface, it is time to leave the Gulf.

But before the people who live under the sea pack their belongings and haul it to the warmest place they can find this side of the Atlantic, a small celebration is thrown for those who wish to stay and brave the cold. Then the rest will depart, and those who wish to stay prepare for the nearing winter. This is called the Ocaid, and this is the year Ebba participates.
