Prologue

L tried everything to make Marc love her: be the best friend that he needs and doesn't think he need, be the number on supporter in whatever he wants to do, be the person he would hate when he needs one. She would bark if he asked her to, jump off a cliff despite her fear of heights... if that's what he wanted.
