Sypnosis

'He's my mate' my brain chanted again and again but all thoughts stopped when he turned around. What knocked my breath out was the familiar blue eyes glaring back into mine. What paralyzed my brain was the velvety deep voice I've heard so many times. What brought my world crashing down was his icy blue eyes that held no hint of surprise.

"Looking for someone?" he taunted.

"You... knew?" I managed to say shakily.

"That we're mates? That out of everyone out there nature cursed me with you?" he said with so much venom, I stepped back.

"But ..You cant.. this isn't" I wasn't sure what I wanted to say. My brain was as useful as a corpse.

"Oh dont worry Aria Davis even nature can't bring me to like you let alone love" he spat.

"But.." I choked. This cant be happening. He can't be my mate.

"I know. I am that combo breaker in your perfect plan. That perfectly selfish werewolf life you have planned ahead of you but don't stop on my account because I'm not going to be around long enough" he said as he looked away.

"You're my mate" I said more to myself than to him. He laughed maliciously.

"The irony of it right?" He continued laughing while I just stared ahead in utter shock.

"Mates are supposed to be together forever " I robotically repeat my dad's words.

"That's where our thinking differs. I don't think you're worth a lifetime of torture. Infact, I dont think you're worth a moment of torture." he said with so much aggression, I flinched.

"You can't leave me" I try to make sense of my words but the only my brain keeps repeatedly processing is that he is my mate.

"Aria Davis mate or not, I'm not having you" he said with such finality in his voice that I knew he wasnt going back on his words. I saw the piercing hatred in his eyes. I heard the pure conviction in his voice. I witnessed his determination when he walked away from me. Yet somehow my silly heart harbored the hope that he might come back to me.
