Evil is not deceptive. Evil is as evil does, and evil has nothing to hide. Tell me no lies. There is a little evil in all of us. Without that evil, there is no moral compass to point to what is good. Wherever I may end up when my time on this earth is finished - in Heaven or in Hell - I am both better and worse off for knowing him. For falling in love with him, and for parting from him. He is my evil, and he is my goodness. He is my damnation and my salvation, and I am forever changed. You can't unlove someone. You can't unremember someone. And I couldn't change him. He had left a small piece of his immortality coursing through my veins, unable to release me from his hold. As a result, I have seen many people, generations, in fact, come and go through the torturous and never-ending passage of time. I don't think he could have known, as he had never given his blood to a human, never until me. I don't think he could have known of this piece of eternal Hell he'd parted unto me. He had said it best when he had told me I would never again be the same. For as long as my heart still beats. This is a novel of carnal and sinister temptation, the eternal struggle of Good versus Evil, and the life-lasting consequences that befall the heroine of the story when she flirts with evil. Nothing is ever as it seems, and one moment can forever alter the trajectory of life.
