Laura's Story (working title)

Laura lives in a housing state with her depressed Mum, abusive stepdad and numerous half-siblings. At just 15 years of age she is made to almost all the work around the house. Plus, she is finding it harder and harder to be strong against her stepdad. She doesn't want to lose herself like her mother. But at school, it's a different story. Laura is the most popular girl there. However, when the stress of her homelife gets too much, she lashes out at her friends and she is left abandoned. They have had enough. Soon, an unlikely friendship strikes. What will become of it?
