Chapter 1 - Broken bones

(Be warned: there will be important characters and plot points from Marvel's 'Doctor Strange'. If you haven't seen the movie, I'd advise you NOT to read. Don't let me stop you, though!)

Stephanie Walker is, in her eyes, the most normal being in existence. All of that changes, however, when her back gets broken by a mysterious man. After being rushed to the hospital, Stephanie meets Doctor Stephen Strange, who takes her to Kamar-Taj. Inside the mystical sanctuary, Stephanie learns that not everything is as it seems...especially if it considers herself.
