Emily Thornton (16) is new to East Valley High. She notices that she is the only girl not wearing a skirt and heels, the others are quick to point this out and make her life hell. Between her nerdy intelligence and 'emo' hair she really doesn't fit in.

Mason Hunters (17) is the one all the girls want, even knowing about his reputation, wanting to be the one to change him. He holds all the power in the school, making him and his friends untouchable. Normally he barely gives girls a first glance, never mind a second, until he sees the new girl, the girl with green in her hair.
