Jax Ray is the second oldest of Buck Ray's boys. He looked up to his older brother for help when he needed it. The topic of school has never been his favorite. At age sixteen he's been to the point of being expelled from school more than once, but is good as gold at the ranch. His parents can't homeschool him when they have to help run the ranch.

Mikayla is the oldest out of three. Her mother died when she was very young. Now she's got a stepmother and her twin brothers in her life. After moving to Marshall she's hoping for a fresh start.
