Chapter 1 - No luck, sunshine

Violet is a girl with modern ideals living in the 17th Century England, but when she makes a bet to save her father from jail, she must act the part of a Lady and gain acceptance from the back-stabbing ton. Only problem is, an accidental meeting with Lord Blackbury - a very eligible bachelor whose determined to make it hard for her - causes troubles... with her head and her heart.
How will she work it out? And why won't it stop raining?
