17 years ago Simon and his friends save the world from being extinct and by using the power of spiral energy. Making Kamina proud while he's resting in the heavens. Simon achieve his goal to pierce through the heavens and make the world a better place. After defeating the anti-spirals Simon retired hidden Gurren Lagann away and sent the spiral key somewhere off until it was time for someone else to use the power of spiral energy to save the world once again. One day a ordinary teenager was digging for treasure to help his family out until he found the same core drill that was used in the war against the anti-spirals. Now that a new race of anti-spiral's wants to destroy the world its up to him defeat these anti-spirals and pierce through the heavens and make the world a better place once more.
