The girl tells her that they are in no need for a maid but refers her to the manor on the hill, where her brother lives. Merida meets Higgs Northumberly and is quite taken aback by his solitary lifestyle. She wonders how a good looking young man like Higgs is all alone in the manor... that is until she finds out a secret within the family that keeps Higgs alone. Determined to break the curse set upon Higgs by the fault of his ancestor, Merida has to find the courage to look past appearances and find the man underneath.
