Amber has a troubled and haunting past, present, and future. Her father died years ago and is left alone with a heart broken/abusive mother. Desperately clinging for normality and a new beginning, she craves an escape. On a dramatic whim she runs away from home and others' wishes to contact an old friend in Los Angeles. "Just for the weekend" she told herself. When she meets the Lynches, everything changes. Caught in webs of complications she struggles to follow her heart and find where she belongs.
