Her father is over seas, her mother is abusive, her boyfriend is possessive, she gets bullied at school, she's depressed, and suicidal. She also has zero friends, so she can't talk to anyone about anything. This results to her never talking to anyone. In the middle of the school year, a new kid arrives. His name is Aaron. He notices Zoey the first day he arrives and is captivated by her mysterious gray eyes. He makes it his goal to become her friend. He always tries to talk to her but she always adverts her gaze and walks away. He knows she's hiding something and is determined to find out what. Zoey knows he's trying to become her friend, but she's already abused enough at home, she doesn't need her boyfriend to beat her as well. So she tries to avoid Aaron as much as possible, but he's everywhere. She soon finds herself talking to the boy, and getting to know him. She also finds herself falling for him and letting him in. When things finally start falling into place for Zoey, it all begins to fall apart again. Zoey knew from the start, she can only be happy for so long until it all crumbles around her. Zoey learned in the most unfortunate way ever, that not all stories have a happy ending.
