I woke up to a brightness of light. It was blinding, and blocked my sight. I blinked my eyes a couple of times to adjust them to the brightness that flooded my view. Once I could see clearly, I felt myself laying on something soft. I moved my hands along the surface around me and realize in a instant that it was a bed. I sat up dizzy in the bed as I placed a hand on my aching head. I groaned, because it felt like my head was on fire. Why was my head hurting? I pushed the sudden thought back as I took a glance at my surroundings. I was in nearly lit room. The walls in the room were an ugly-old-looking brownish tan. The only thing in the room was a couch and an old box TV. Where the hell am I? I thought to myself. But in an instant the memories with James flooded her mind. I jumped off the bed as fast as I could. In the process I tumbled to the ground. My breathing started increasing as more memories flashes before my eyes. This couldn't be happening. This is not real! Before I could think things through, I did the first thing that came to mind. I ran around the room, looking for an exit. I ran up the stairs of the small room. I placed my hand on the door knob, but the door was locked. Instead I banged on the door. ______________ A Twenty-eight year old police woman known as Lauren Johnson moves to a new town known as Kensington drive.
