Chapter One

In which a boy lies his way through life to hide the fact he has a terrible home life with the parents HE CHOSE at a certain age to live with and another boy who lives alone can see right through the lies.

It's placed in a dystopian/utopian type of city where when children got to a certain age(5), they chose a couple that they want to be their parents/guardians and if the child chose to, they can live alone with the government's financial support
