One will never know what it is like to be a criminal just for existing. Living knowing your parents have made many sacrifices to bring you into a world that will never understand you. That is the life of a Nephilim, the offspring of angels and humans. Life for the few Nephilim is filled with performing as the best human you can be in order to not anger the forces in heaven. For Wren Middlestone life seems to be something that's happening to him, not something he's experiencing. All his life he's practiced staying under every radar to hide both his Nephilim abilities and his angelic gift, his ability to share his own essence for others and purify their body from almost any ailment. All this hiding comes to an end when he meets Casper Altrike at West Shoals University. Casper and Wren are what humans would call soul mates, people bonded to each other till the day they die.
