PROLOGUE

Jaspert Sharp is the brother to Deryn/Dylan Sharp, serving on board the ship known as the Minotaur in the British Services during the first world war.
The world is divided- Darwinists with fabricated creatures, versus the Clankers, with powerful machinery.

But after a terrible storm, Jaspert finds his world spiraling out of control, and begins to question his own allegiance. To the side he was born into, or the side that seems sure to win?
