Ansley Lemmings followed the path of her parents to become a scientist, however the perfect life she worked so hard to achieve got blown apart the night a project she and her colleagues poured themselves into malfunctioned and nearly devastated an entire city.
Now she is left to deal with the aftermath of the explosion and to hers and everybody else's surprise Barry Allen is the one who breaks through the walls she put up.
