Andrea Brinlee has seen it all. She's trusted too much, loved too much and seen far to much. This west Texas girl can tell you the exact day she knew love was never going to carry her anywhere and with the same grit of that Odessa sand, she knew she would pull herself up by her own boots and find success. That was until, life started throwing the punches and it just never seemed to stop. Three kids and a string of failed relationships behind her, she had given up on finding anyone to keep her warm at night. That was until she met Brock, the tall, solid investment banker from Atlanta. Brock oozed old southern money and dripped Georgia charm. His facial hair was more manicured than the White House rose garden and the Brown University encrusted cuff links gleamed like helicopter search lights off his wrists. Search lights... just like the lights over the desert of El Paso that had been searching for Andrea just a few years ago. Her mix matched flip flops were more apparent to her than they had been the past two weeks and Andrea felt herself shrinking into the fire of embarrassment that burned in her gut. The confident woman who ruled the one stoplight Texas town wanted to disappear in flames in his presence. But as fate would have it, flames would be exactly what would pull Brock to Andrea in a near death experience that would leave him craving her touch like the strongest drug.
