"Well, at least the drinks taste good." Chuckling, Mark looks behind us, only for him to stop dead in his tracks, eyes wide. "What is it? Don't tell me it's him." I say. "It's him." He replies, his eyes locked on something behind me. Okay, Sofia, relax. Mark's gaze flicks over to me, and I nod slightly, signaling that I'm ready for whatever lies ahead. He stares into my eyes as he leans forward, and I notice how he still smells of caffeine from our Starbucks run earlier, and how his hair swoops over the side of his face, right next to his eye, until his lips brush against mine. A moment later, he wraps his arms around my waist and presses my back against the wall next to us, deepening the kiss. I pull away, shocked. "Mark, what the hell?!" I exclaim. "I lied," He whispers, still pressed up against me, his breath tickling my skin. "He isn't there." With that, he saunters down the hallway and through the doors, back to the heart of the party. Well, shit. --- When Sofia Williams moved to Los Angeles, she never expected to find a nice place to live, a nice place to call home. What she least expected, though, was somebody to share the home with. Mark Fischback is a highly popular gaming YouTuber, with millions of subscribers and a huge fan-base that is spread out world-wide. His videos are always really funny to watch, and the editing effects are always made to perfection. He's basically a walking celebrity, but in the gaming world. After running into-literally-Mark, Sofia soon finds friendship in a place where she least expected it. But, as always, friendship means sacrifice.
