Some people are born with perfect hearts, indicating that you have a soulmate. When you meet your soulmate, their name shows up inside the heart, but only when you talk to them. However there are some who, sadly, are born with a shattered heart, indicating that they have no soulmate and never will. If your soulmate dies, your soulmates name will dissapear and your heart cracks, but doesn't shatter. A cracked heart can be repaired by finding a new soulmate, which most can't do since you're only supposed to have one. This is what happens when a shattered heart and a cracked heart develop strange feelings towards each other.
