Something has changed, in the mist of the battle with the white whale, Something has changed. Subaru still succeeds in luring the beast to the tree and defeats it, however, when he used his scent to do so he heard one word. Suddenly everyone remembers so much death. Deaths of the people they love, or even themselves. All that he has done to fix things are now crashing around him.
