Preface

Sædís is a Lífið-healer, a shaman who is capable of sacrificing her own life in order to restore someone else's. She is tasked with guarding the Life Stones, which maintain the balance of Mana in the world. However, Sædís is not suited for the responsibility; she is impulsive, crass and selfish, and refuses to use her gift to help others. But when a war breaks out that threatens to destroy the balance of power and wipe out her people, Sædís may be the only one with the ability to make a difference. Can she overcome her own flaws in order to become the hero her people need?
