(1) Beginning

Mikasa Ackerman is a freshman at Rose College. For the first time, she won't be with her adoptive brother Eren Jaeger and best friend Armin Arlert. She is excited, yet terrified to be on her own.
Her roommate is Annie Leonhardt, a girl who is cold to the touch, and they enter a world of misadventure and trouble, which creates a bond between the girls.
