PROLOGUE

Genesis isn't your typical teenage girl. She lives among the bloodsuckers, the night crawlers, and the God forsaken. Genesis was adopted by a vampire elite when she was young, and now that her sweet sixteen is on the rise, she would want nothing more than to be turned into a vampire like the rest of her friends and family. But when her desires are ignored by her mother, Genesis seeks to prove her worthiness by acing the Summoning Ceremony: an event where each magick practicing vampire must conjure a familiar form the spirit realm.
