Description
A childhood friend. A war. A soul of sunlight. All of them are lost. As Alina is sinking in grief, her friends are trying to stay united, making plans of dethroning the Darkling, who now rules Ravka. The sun summoner has to resist giving into the shadow summoner's will, but how long will she be able to put on a show, as her feelings are starting to fade into numbness? And how easy can it be to kill the one who's standing beside you on a throne, when power has never felt so good? Alina may find out the answer when shadows have already taken over her heart. (Basically Mal dies, Alina turns dark and lives with the Darkling at the Grand Palace. Her friends are trying to kill him.
