Prologue- The First Attempt

Christine was born an unusual baby, one with black hair and eyes. As she grew older, her parents finally tell her something that they had been keeping from her for a long time. Christine had been born without a soul due to a deal mistakenly made, and if she wants to get it, she will have to go on a search for it alone and without any assistance from anyone. The biggest problem? The possessor of her soul is a creature of unknown power and potential with an assistant who will let nothing stand in her way of protecting him and the soul. It is these two that Christine has to beware of the most when she goes on her search, because they tend to play mind games with everyone, as they have been on her parents for years. Another thing is that Christine's soul is valuable, almost priceless, even. It holds great knowledge and power for its owner, and there hasn't been one like it for over five thousand years. One more thing that Christine must remember throughout her journey; if she can't manage to find her soul and bring it back home in a month, then she will die and everyone will be at the mercy of her soul's current possessor.
