Coldwater Creak

The wild country can be a dangerous place, but none more dangerous than Coldwater, a high, lonely river that is whispered to have gold aplenty for those that seek it. But when Joe and the party of prospectors he is travelling with find the Coldwater, they are unaware that a terrifying secret lies hidden in its freezing waters, and it is not going to wait for them to find it.

This short story has been written for the Wattpad Fright profile (@fright) Creature Feature writing prompt, because it tickled my fancy and allowed a germ of an idea to be put down in words.
