Nobody acknowledged Rita, she wasn't even sure if they knew she existed. There was that brief moment every now and then they saw her crying in the corner of the cafeteria, being laughed at by brainless teens or wiping half eaten school dinner food of her face. They never saw her laughing though, not properly anyway. She kept her laughs hidden away, watching Dan and Phil.
