To this day no supernaturals dare to mate. They were grotesquely mutilated, beaten and tortured before finally being killed. All this took place before an audience of supernaturals in a once peaceful village square. Why is mating banned? Because it leads to children. What was wrong with a child? The fact it would be the first of its kind with unknown vampiric gifts and witch abilities and we are all scared of the Unknown. Present day, 152 years later: After climbing the supernatural social hierarchy in the mortal realm Xanthe Venus Aléria was ready to do so in Xelleruz, the supernatural realm at a ball in the Kings palace. She wanted power, she wanted revenge. Most of all she wanted to fulfil her promise to her mother. The one she made aged four in a once peaceful village square. Little did she know how what was in store.
