When one encounter changes two lives. I wanted to die. It was the one thing in my life I could control. I had my mother and father taken from me, my brother too, and everything that I wanted - the hopes and dreams I had for the future - gone in an instant. I found myself losing my way. I wasn't sure what was fantasy and what was reality, all I knew is that I wanted it to end. I wanted to stop feeling the pain and emptiness, I wanted my life to be what it was before, and I wanted my family back. None of that could happen. Every night I would stand at the window balcony of my dorm at school, at six floors up I was sure to die, and I waited for the strength to jump. Yes, you could call me a coward and I probably am, but each night it felt right. I felt the eyes of someone watching me and, though it may sound pathetic and useless, I hoped with all my heart it was my family. Each night that I would stand on the edge and let the warm breeze engulf my body, hoping they would give me a sign to carry on with life. When that one night I finally decided it was now or never, those eyes came into sight and to my surprise it wasn't my family, it was the eyes of a boy. A boy that would change my life forever.
