Chapter 1: Dreams

Year: 2030

My name is Stacey and I live in a small town with my sister and parents. I have a best friend, good grades, I love reading manga, my favourite colour is pink, and I'm pretty much just an average twelve year old girl. My life is good, I have the latest gaming systems and my own hover scooter, but sometimes it can be a little boring. Poverty, war and world hunger still exist today, so it does make me feel selfish to wish for a better life. One packed with adventure, fun and excitement, like in the manga I've read. Only, if my wish does come true... will I live to regret it?
