Chapter 1

Hayley Vega lived by two life rules: Stick to yourself, and don't care. She believed that to care meant to be hurt, and it's would lead to humanity's downfall.
However, when she meets a mysterious boy claiming that humanity's down is, in fact, arriving, Hayley's defensive instincts kick in, and she's determined to save the only person she does care about. Her little sister.
The clock is ticking, and the world of the dead is ominously nearing. How can she save an entire race that doesn't know they need saving?
But most importantly, how can she save the world, when she doesn't even care enough to save herself?
