Chapter One - Why Me?

When Evie Smith is told that she’ll be mentoring Sonny Flynn, she’s certain that she’s just been forced to commit social suicide. Sonny is not a ‘bad boy’; he’s a vile boy – the person in her school most likely to end up in prison or dead by the time he’s twenty. Evie has enough problems without having to deal with him as well; her dreams of becoming a professional athlete are under threat and her best friend has become sex obsessed. Yet, when she's alone with Sonny, a strange and unwelcome electricity crackles between them.
