prologue: The Rift

many years ago when I was little a portal was opened to the afterlife we call THE RIFT ghosts who wished to live again came pouring out latching onto every living soul on this earth. eventually they started taking over their bodies that we call "hauntings" and only mediums like me can help stop this. my name is Judie Elizabeth Holmes and I along with my ghost Elliot Patterson are trying to stop the dead from killing everyone. people die every day, I came to accept that long ago, but it's not our time yet.
