Twenty years after the fall of Thadius, the Thread has fallen into disarray, with civilization crumbling to pieces. Rose, an aspiring young woman, seeks to follow in his father's footsteps and become a renowned and legendary hero. Yet, Rose falters when she fails to find any special powers that she has. Though she has no obvious powers, Rose must push on and succeed were even her father failed.
