Her eyes shone with one emotion. Fear.

"Are you..." I pinched my nosebridge trying to not sound hurt.

"Are you scared of me?"

"N-No..." She was scared of me.

I lifted my hand to carrass her cheek but she flinched.

I growled and grabbed her to force her to look at me.

"I would never hurt you baby... Never. So don't look at me as if I'm some sort of monster that will hurt you. I'm not like them."
