#1 In Slenderman 12/29/16 Elizabeth Black is nothing more than 25 year old Investigative Journalist fighting to earn a living in a small town in the north of Pennsylvania. She goes through life with a certain philosophy- "No one deserves to be kept in the dark." Apart from having to fight off blatant sexism, unwanted approaches and an annoying mother who insists she gets married, Elizabeth has as normal a life as any other woman in the 90's. But when a series of events begin to unfold and shake the foundation of everything the town's ever known, Elizabeth finds herself, unsurprisingly, caught in the middle of it all. Many circumstances begin to take place and soon Elizabeth is left alone to face the biggest mystery of all- a mysterious creature who makes her question even her own philosophy. As if things couldn't get any stranger, Elizabeth's childhood friend returns to town after his mysterious disappearance 13 years prior. What will happen when Elizabeth finds out. . . that her beloved friend and the mysterious creature are more closely intertwined than she'd ever possible?
