Re-Meeting

A little kid going on an adventure to find their parents though they stumble upon a monster. The monster follows them around torturing them on their adventure but will the little kid be affected by it? As years go on the kid never found their parents and lived alone in a mental ward but still wondered what happened to the monster following them.
