Kestrel Stibbons is part of an extinct race and trying to keep her head down and work her way up through Starfleet . . . but being friends with Jim Kirk means life is never easy, or boring . . . especially when a futuristic Romulan ship declares war . . .

(This is a Star Trek fanfiction based in the first film directed by J.J. Abrams. I will hopefully do an 'Into Darkness' fanfic eventually but I though it best to begin at the beginning.
