"Travis, let go of me! You disgust me!" Courtney screamed at her husband, her voice trembling with disgust.

Travis slowly released her, his eyes filled with sadness and pain. "Just... please listen to me, okay?" He pleaded with his wife, but she didn't even acknowledge him, instead she turned away.

As he watched her walked out of the house, leaving him standing there, staring at the door through which she had just passed.

Travis looks up on the ceiling, blinking his eyes in motion trying to hold back his tears.

"It's okay, man," he whispered to himself, his voice choked with emotion. "She didn't know... she didn't know that I got this scar while saving her..."
