Chapter One

"She kissed me. Then, I kissed her. I KISSED Lilly Miller. I kissed a girl. I'm not sure whether or not that scares me. I think it should, but it really just makes me happy. For once, I didn't care that I was deaf. I didn't care about anything except her. With her lips against mine, all my troubles seemed to fade away. I kissed Lilly, and I can't wait to do it again."

Lilly Miller becomes the mentor of Emily, a new girl at school who is deaf, and Lilly can't help but fall in love with her.
