Valfort. A town known for the mysteries that plague its hazy forests. Unfathomable matters are whispered under its citizen's breath of the nonhuman creatures that are rumored to inhabit the area. The obscure mood in this small and hidden town is a result of the cloudy and foggy veil it wears so charmingly. Valfort is a stark contrast to the bright and sunny Sacramento that Ayla Kaya used to reside in. After the devastating death of her father, the twenty-three year old kindergarten teacher Ayla Kaya moves in the small town of Valfort to live with her aging Turkish aunt as per requested in her father's will. She had needed space from the city she grew up in to mourn the death of her father and welcomed the change with open arms. Living in gloomy Valfort and starting a new job at the local kindergarten seemed normal enough till Ayla started bumping heads against the brooding, entitled mountain of a jerk that everyone seemed to either fear or worship. A jerk that she had to deal with since he basically owned the majority of the town, including the very establishment she works in. A jerk that seemed to hardly take no for an answer and had secrets that Ayla feared would ultimately lead to her demise.
