she was almost a nobody anxious about an uneventful summer. no big trips, no big plans, nothing. absolutely nothing at all. except maybe working a few nights here and there. there would be a few sleepless nights.

her summer was going to be what saved her, at least, that's what she wanted to think of it.

but that's what she hoped for, not what she actually got.
