Section I

Deryl Parchrid was no ordinary boy. Everywhere he went, he was bathed in bad luck. First was the death of his grandparents, then his mother. The remainder of his family gets picked off one by one. After learning that his family was cursed, he, the youngest of the Parchrid's heritage, has to end it before it catches up to him, leaving him to be the last until it is his turn.
