It's the time of the Civil War, the time of Abraham Lincoln. The Confederate and the Union soldiers are fighting the bloodiest war in the history of the United States. We all know the basics, but do we know the people who were experiencing the war, the people who faced the consequences of the fighting and the killing? Do we know their thoughts and feelings? No, we do not. Because of that, I have decided to focus on a drummer boy in the Civil War. I've decided to show everyone how one war, big or small, can change the life of millions, starting with a drummer boy. I will be doing more stories of people in the Civil War, but for now, I'll work on little drummer boy. In this story, you will learn how it was for people in the Civil War, how a boy lost everything and everyone he loved, like so many others, and how he learned to overcome it, as others of that time had to.
