Chapter One; To run or to run?

So basically Elizabeth finds out that she's mated to the Alpha king. If there's one thing she learnt at school in the human realm is that those of the other realm are savage beasts with a superiority complex. If you're mated to one of them you are a submissive and treated degradingly. When she makes eye contact with the king, she runs.

Obviously king Aethelstan won't let his mate run away from him. So he chases her desperate to show her that they belong together. Under a guise he wants to convince her that the two are made for each other and that she is wrong.

But how wrong is she really?
