Prologue

It was the mid Autumn of 1895. The reign of Queen Victoria seemed to be coming to an end, and the usual affairs of late 19th century Britain were happening as per usual.

Glitz and glamour were the things that every girl wished for at her season as a debutante. All of them wanting to marry a gentleman of handsome face and loaded pocket.

For Florence Grove, the case was different. She still wanted glamour - why wouldn't you when youth doesn't last forever? But she wanted to experience something that was often overlooked in society. She wanted to experience love.

So, my dear reader, I shall be taking you on a journey of finding love. But not just any kind of love. You shall see love in the truest sense of the word.
