Same Old, Same New

Sonja has never been told the three words in her life. Maybe because she's always been overweight growing up. Maybe because people in her culture have to be stick thin to be considered pretty. But as senior year comes around, a lot happened, a lot changed. She had lost weight and started exercising more. (But she still loves food.) New friends, new relationships, and maybe even...a new love? The one that won't tell her that she looks beautiful, but that she is beautiful.
