"Someone's outside. Scott, stay with Amber while I check it out. "

John got up and checked the kitchen window. Shoot! They're everywhere!

He went back down and told Amber and Scott. They have to get out. Fortunately there was an escape route, but it was risky. He'd have to carry Amber. Oh boy. Here we go.

"Amber, escape route. NOW! I'll carry you." John scooped her up and motioned Scott to follow.

When they reached the exit, the upstairs door burst open. They started to run, but made a lot of noise. Now the Rose's Thorns found them.
